New retailer Faradays curates luxury brands for Kiwis

New fashion retailer, Faradays, has joined New Zealand’s luxury brands market, bringing a curated offer of high-end products to Kiwi customers through a new online platform, followed by its first physical flagship store next month.

Luxury brands featured at Faradays include Givenchy, Loewe, Alexandre Vauthier and Giuseppe Zanotti. In addition, Kiwi customers can also find a range of premium products such as lingerie and sleepwear from La Perla and Bordelle, luggage from Rimowa, tableware from Ginori 173, hand-blown Murano glass from Stories of Italy and luxe blankets from Saved NY.

New Zealand artworks will also be available from the Gow Langsford Gallery and fresh florals from Grace + Flora.

“We wanted to create an iconic retail experience that becomes a beacon of luxury in the Antipodes,” says Constance Von Dadelszen, co-founder and CEO of Faradays.

Meanwhile, Faradays’ first flagship will open at 8 Faraday Street in Parnell and span 550sqm. Designed by Cheshire Architects, the store also houses a wine bar, in-house florist and art gallery.

“We wanted this space to be uniquely Faradays, bold but familiar,” said George Gregory, of Cheshire Architects. “A place where precious things are collected and displayed, where friends and visitors feel comfortable to stay for the afternoon.”

“The store is made from natural materials rather than synthetics, offering a sense of connection with the heritage of the building and the quality and craft of the products showcased.”

The Faradays physical store will also offer services including valet parking, personal styling, and concierge shopping.

Faradays is founded by fashion trailblazers Edward and Constance von Dadelszen with the purpose to share their vision of “luxury in a contemporary Antipodean setting to life in their signature sophisticated manner that demands a hint of frivolity”.

“We know New Zealand consumers are searching for a truly international luxury department store experience, and we are confident Faradays will deliver an unrivalled offering in the Southern Hemisphere,” says von Dadelszen.
