Menswear retailer unveils ecommerce investment

Men’s formalwear retailer Declic has relaunched its ecommerce platform, adopting mobile and tablet optimisation as well as overhauling the visual aspects of the website.

The brand, which sells shirts, wallets, ties, cufflinks and socks across nine stores in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, hopes that the changes will better position it to take advantage of demand for online shopping.

“We’re really excited about the update to include access on mobile and tablet, however the most exciting element is the overall freshness and boldness of design and colour, which are the trademarks of the Declic brand,” said Declic owner Diles Du Puy.

New features include easier navigation, improved search functionality, introductory discounts for subscribers, enhanced product images, size filters, a best sellers page and an Instagram shopping page.

Duy Puy, a Parisian who has owned and designed for the business for 28 years, said the reaction to the new site among customers has been positive, particularly the Instagram shopping feature.

“The inclusion of Shop Instagram feature is proving quite successful.  The reaction to the new web site has been quite extraordinary and in our first month, sales increased 23%,” Du Puy said.
