Marimekko opens online to New Zealand consumers
Marimekko, a Finnish lifestyle design brand, is expanding its online store to New Zealand.
From April 24, online customers of Marimekko will be able to ship the brand’s ready-to-wear products, bags, accessories and home decor to New Zealand.
“We are excited to extend our services to New Zealand, a country that shares our appreciation for innovative design and responsible practices,” said Dan Worland, Marimekko’s head of market area Australia and New Zealand.
“By offering shipping to New Zealand, we hope to bring more people into the Marimekko community and help them discover our brand’s optimistic lifestyle,” he said.
Marimekko has been present in Australia since the 1960s and has one of its global flagship stores in a Sydney Westfield shopping centre.
The brand will also change its Instagram account to @marimekkoaunz, to reflect its market expansion strategy.
