Kogan board appoints new company secretary

The board of online retailer Kogan.com has appointed Adam Sutherland, managing director of Mertons Corporate Services Pty Ltd, as joint company secretary, effective immediately.

Sutherland takes the position following the retirement of previous joint company secretary, Christopher Lobb, from the position.

Sutherland brings expertise in corporate compliance obligations, including ASX and ASIC requirements.

He previously supported senior legal and company secretarial executives with Crown Resorts Limited, where he assisted with the application and maintenance of local and international gaming licences.

Mark Licciardo, also of Mertons, remains as a joint company secretary.

Kogan.com recently announced the expansion of the business into health insurance services through a partnership with one of Australia’s largest providers, Medibank Group.

The move reflects the online retailer’s strategy to build a portfolio of retail businesses and services that delight its large and growing community with value-driven offerings.

Kogan.com now offers home, contents, landlord, car and travel insurance, travel deals and mobile offerings, in addition to its original online retail and marketplace business.

It will soon add NBN internet plans to the mix.
