JB Hi-Fi online sales soar, boosting growth across brands
Electronics and appliances retailer JB Hi-Fi has reported strong growth in online sales for the last financial year.
In Australia, JB Hi Fi reported its online sales increased by 16.4 per cent to $1.19 billion, which amounted to 16.8 per cent of total sales of $7.1 billion.
In New Zealand, the brand saw online sales surging by 48.1 per cent to $57.5 million, reaching 15.9 per cent of its total sales at $361.7 million.
The group’s The Good Guys brand saw its online sales rise by 9.9 per cent to $425.4 million, comprising 14.8 per cent of its total sales worth $2.87 billion.
This was driven by the group’s focus on increasing brand awareness online and optimising digital experiences to drive high traffic to its websites.
“It has been another strong year of sales and earnings, as we built on the momentum of the previous year,” said group CEO Terry Smart, who has resigned the role and will depart in October, leaving the company on a high.
“The company stayed focused on its core proposition of driving great value and delivering consistently high levels of customer service, which continued to resonate with our customers.”
Total group sales reached $10.6 billion.
