Italian fashion house Missoni introduces Australian digital platform
The Italian fashion house Missoni has launched an e-commerce platform in ANZ with Trumarq, the brand’s authorised local distributor.
The Missoni online store, hosted on Trumarq’s website, allows customers to access the brand’s product lines nationwide.
Offering a full catalogue from the Missoni collection in Italy, the digital store includes women’s and men’s apparel, beachwear, and home goods.
Before this digital expansion, the brand’s physical presence in the region consisted of a flagship boutique opened in Sydney’s Martin Place in 2024, along with two department store concessions at David Jones in Sydney and on the Gold Coast.
According to Geraldine Dielenberg, director of Missoni Australia, the digital platform is designed to make the brand’s collections accessible beyond the geographical boundaries of its existing physical retail locations.
“Missoni has always stood for an uncompromising dedication to Italian craftsmanship,” said Dielenberg. “Our new e-commerce platform allows us to bring that artistry directly to more people across Australia, offering the complete Missoni world beyond the boundaries of physical retail.”
The online expansion is intended to establish a unified omnichannel distribution system for the brand’s luxury market within the region.
Trumarq operates as the exclusive authorised distributor for Missoni ready-to-wear collections throughout ANZ, managing both the brick-and-mortar storefronts and the newly established digital retail operations.
Founded in 1953 by Ottavio and Rosita Missoni in Italy, Missoni specialises in luxury artisanal knitwear characterised by distinct zigzag and chevron patterns.
Earlier this year, Kiwi womenswear brand Moochi marked its first global launch in Australia, with a dedicated Australian e-commerce platform.
