Dan Murphy’s introduces online queue tracking so customers can plan visits

Liquor retailer Dan Murphy’s has introduced a Q-tracker solution which allows customers to check online to see if there’s a queue at their local store before heading on down.

According to Utadi Murphy, the chain’s head of marketing & loyalty, the web tool uses real-time data to show customers how long a queue is likely to be – or if there is one.

“December is traditionally our busiest trading period, and we want both our customers and team members to have a Covid-safe festive season. The Q-tracker will help customers plan their shopping, beat the queues when a store has reached capacity due to social distancing measures and help everyone have a peace of mind,” said Murphy.

“You can also view the days and times your local store is busiest during the week, which can help you plan to avoid the crowds.”

Customers who want to check out the queue time can go to the Dan Murphy’s website and enter the postcode or suburb of their preferred store.

“Many shoppers often leave it to the 48 hours leading up to Christmas Day to buy their drinks, but this year, we are encouraging customers to plan and shop ahead if they can, and use the Q-tracker to avoid busy periods, save time and shop with safety in mind,” said Murphy.
