Covid lockdown inspires party planner’s online table-setting rental concept
Melbourne-based luxury table-setting business Bella Casa Tablescapes has launched a ready-to-rent table concept online.
Founder Michelle Everitt conceptualised the idea in July 2021 during Melbourne’s lockdown.
“It all started because of my love for party planning, pretty table decorations and entertaining in style, which l have enjoyed over the past 30 years.
“In a country where you can order literally anything on-demand – flowers, dresses, meals – why can’t you similarly order your table setting?,” asked Everitt.
After more than eight months of planning, designing and testing the tablescapes, she launched the business online last October.
The rental tables can be used for birthdays, anniversaries, Mother’s Day, Christmas and other special events.
Customers can browse through the rental collections online and have them delivered a day or two before an event.
The tablescape comes with instructions on how to set it up and a pre-booked courier will collect it the next day. All packaging is reusable and zero-waste.
