Bulletproof Ramps up for 2015

BulletproofBulletproof, Australia’s leading mission critical Cloud services provider, today announced it had increased headcount, following an ambitious hiring drive over the past three months, as it beefs up its support and technical capacity for existing and new customers.

Following a significant 12 months in which Bulletproof saw 120 additional new customers and industry-leading growth in revenues as the market increasingly demands Managed Cloud services, the company invested in growing its support and professional services capability for clients, hiring 19 more people between July and October 2014, bringing the total headcount to 69 people.

Bulletproof boosted its Melbourne presence by opening an office there earlier this year, and installing staff in strategic locations globally as it executes on a ‘follow-the-sun’ support strategy, ensuring customers consistently receive 24/7 support.

Bulletproof has also seen satisfaction among clients reach an all-time high, with the company’s Net Promoter Score (NPS) rated at positive 52.12 based on a survey conducted recently.

Net Promoter Score is an officially recognised benchmark that gauges whether customers would recommend a business to someone else. The scores, marked on a scale from negative 100 to positive 100, are used widely by companies globally, with scores above positive 50 generally seen as a remarkable achievement.

Over the past 12 months Bulletproof, the first AWS Premier Consulting Partner in Australia and New Zealand, has increased its presence in the local market. It has launched innovative products, started a partner program, signed strategic technology partnerships and listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX).

Bulletproof was recently named in the BRW Fast 100 for 2014 list, with 42 per cent growth, after posting a 31 per cent increase over 2013 in underlying earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation to $2.9 million, and a 29 per cent increase over 2013 in revenues to $18.3 million for the 2014 financial year.

It recently scored several customer wins including Racing Victoria, Mazda, Guardian Australia and Moshtix.

Bulletproof Chief Customer Officer Mark Randall said the company would continue to invest to increase support for existing and new customers as it cements its leadership in Managed Cloud services.

“As Australia’s first AWS Premier Consulting Partner, we continue to validate our expertise and position in the market. We are passionate and excited to extend our world-class Bulletproof Support to help customers and partners succeed in the Cloud,” he said.

According to statistics from analyst firm Frost & Sullivan, the Australian Cloud computing industry reached $1.23 billion in 2013, and is estimated to increase to $4.55 billion by 2018. Some 69 per cent of all Australian businesses now use some form of Cloud computing service, with companies finding an average cost saving of 12 per cent from adoption of these services.

Of those who have adopted Cloud, 62 per cent use private Cloud deployments, with an increasing number moving to a hybrid of both public and private Cloud services.

Although the opportunities and advantages of Cloud are evident, many organisations still struggle to implement effective Cloud-based product and service strategies by themselves. Of those adopting Cloud services, nearly half of companies prefer to use a managed services partner.
