Australian B2B marketplace Ollee connects merchants with ethical brands

As retailers look to source more ethical, natural, and eco-friendly products, Ollee has launched Australia’s first local and ethical B2B marketplace to help merchants connect with purpose-driven brands.

The new trading platform seeks to make sustainable procurement easier by providing retailers and businesses access to natural, ethically sourced, organic, and eco-friendly products all in one place.

Launched in April, Ollee currently has more than 120 brands signed up offering more than 2100 products covering categories such as health and beauty, food and drinks, pets, kids, home and lifestyle, fashion and jewellery, gifts, and more.

Sandy Abram, co-founder of Ollee, said that buyers are looking for streamlined systems to source new products and restock existing ones.

“Buyers want more one-stop shops, more choice, control and convenience,” said Abram.

“A digital platform gives them the flexibility to place their orders with multiple suppliers when they want, how they want and with the speed and efficiency that helps them save time and money,”

According to research by McKinsey & Company, more than 75 per cent of buyers and sellers prefer digital self-serve and remote interaction versus face-to-face. Digital platforms have made it easier for buyers to find information, place orders, and access services conveniently, at a pace that enables them to stay ahead of the market.

“Many B2B buyers have told us they want to self-serve”, said Abram.

“They’re comfortable using digital platforms and technology in a sales and ordering capacity and prefer working with suppliers that provide a strong and professional digital experience,”
