Amazon gift cards now available in bricks-and-mortar stores
Australian consumers can now buy Amazon gift cards in various bricks-and-mortar retailers, including Australia Post, 7-Eleven, BP and United Petroleum, among others.
Digital gift cards are also available for purchase on Amazon’s Australian website, which has also added a wish list feature for users to track goods.
The move comes ahead of Father’s Day and the events-laden final quarter of the retail calendar, when many retailers make a significant portion of their sales for the year.
“Dad’s aren’t always easy to buy for so we hope that with gift cards and wish lists now available at Amazon.com.au, those tough-to-buy-for dads will get something they really want this year,” said country manager for Amazon Australia Rocco Braeuniger.
Amazon has slowly but surely improved its offering in Australia since launching here last December.
The online retailer recently launched its Prime loyalty program, which offers two-day deliver to nearly 90 per cent of Australians, alongside entertainment benefits, in Australia.
