Amazon Australia reveals Prime Day date

Amazon Australia has confirmed this year’s version of the annual Prime Day shopping event will take place on July 12 – 13 this year.

Janet Menzies, country manager for Amazon Australia, said the company has put small businesses in the front and centre of this year’s event through its Shop Local Businesses Store.

The ‘Shop Local Businesses’ feature offers a curated collection of Australian businesses like Sunshine Coast’s Little Archer & Co that makes products for babies and toddlers.

Other participating small and medium Australian businesses this year include Melbourne-based key organiser Orbitkey, Brisbane’s Nakie, and the Doggie Balm Co, from regional Victoria.

Amazon’s Prime Day will offer deals across a range of products including homewares, electronic devices, sports equipment, fashion and beauty products. Global brands including Apple, The North Face, Nintendo, Lego, Lenovo and Bose will sell items at discounts exclusive to Prime Day.
