99 Dresses – Hottest startup at Ycombinator

99Dresses Emerges as Hottest Startup at YCombinator Winter 2012
27 March 2012 – Australian entrepreneur Nikki Durkin has just unveiled 99dresses.com at the YCombinator Winter 2012 Demo Day and has been named by many as the best startup this year.
Tech pundits Robert Scoble and Ben Parr (former editor at Mashable) have already named 99Dresses their favourite company to come out of YCombinator’s Winter 2012 program.
The startup won the “Scobleizer Demo of the Day” award and 500 Startup’s George Kellerman named the company in his top 10.
Nikki Durkin, Founder of 99Dresses, said YCombinator had helped provide the perfect platform for their global expansion.
“The last three months in Mountain View, California, have been at tremendous experience for myself and the talented team we’ve assembled.
“We’ve been able to hone in on our offering to women all around the world, perfect our business model, and start marketing 99dresses.com.
“99Dresses is an infinite wardrobe for women. Using virtual currency called buttons, women around the world can trade clothing and accessories, so they’re never limited to just the clothes they have at home.
“We’ve created crack for women,” Nikki Durkin said.
“I love it, it’s addictive as Pinterest,” added Krishna Vedati, angel investor and serial entrepreneur.
Users can signups today at www.99dresses.com.
A further funding round will be announced shortly.
